Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 TBSP
- butter - 3 TBSP
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- butter, melted - 1 TBSP
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- soft bread crumbs - 2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 TBSP
- can salmon, drained and flaked - 1 lb
- Combine milk and egg; add to salmon mixture and mix thoroughly
- salt, and a dash of pepper - 1/2 tsp
How to make salmon loaf:
In a bowl; combine salmon, crumbs, onion, butter and salt. Combine milk and egg; add to salmon mixture and mix thoroughly. Shape into a loaf on a greased shallow baking pan or in a loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 35-40 min.Piquant Sauce For Salmon Loaf:2 TBSP. green onion, chopped3 TBSP. butter2 TBSP. flour1/2 tsp. dry mustard1/2 tsp. salt, and a dash of pepper1-1/4 c. milk1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Cook onion in butter until tender, but not browned. Blend in flour, mustard, salt and pepper. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce.
