Refrigerator pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- celery seed
- medium onions, sliced - 2 item
- white vinegar - 4 c
- mustard seed
- turmeric - 1/3 tsp
- cucumbers - 1 gal
How to make refrigerator pickles:
Bring all ingredients to a boil, except cucumbers. Let cool, then pour over cucumbers that have been placed into a gallon jar. Put in refrigerator; let set about 2 weeks before eating.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Summer, Seasonal.
