Refrigerator pickles



  • sugar - 4 c
  • salt - 1/2 c
  • cider vinegar - 4 c
  • celery seed
  • mustard seed
  • turmeric
  • thinly sliced cucumbers and onions - 1 item
  • garlic and hot peppers optional - 1 item

How to make refrigerator pickles:

Bring first 6 ingredients to a boil; let cool. Pour into gallon jar and add cucumbers and onions. Garlic and hot peppers may be added if desired. Put into refrigerator. Add new cucumbers as needed.
