Bread and butter pickles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 5 c
• salt - 1/3 c
• celery seed
• medium onions, sliced - 6 item
• white vinegar - 3 c
• mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
• turmeric
• green pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
• large cloves garlic - 3 item
• sweet red pepper, cut in strips - 1 item
• thinly sliced cucumbers 15 cukes - 4 qt

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Mix in a large stock pot. Add cukes and bring to a boil. Seal in hot jars. (No need to process due to high vinegar content.)
