Ingredients/Components
- Mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- cooked pinto beans - 6 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- garlic clove, chopped - 1 item
- bacon drippings - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
How to make refried beans:
In large skillet, heat bacon drippings. Add beans, onions, garlic and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until all fat is completely absorbed and beans are hot.Pour into greased baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. The last 5 minutes, add cheese to the top of the beans and return to the oven until completely melted.
