Boston baked beans
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Dijon mustard - 1 Tbsp
- onion, chopped - 1 c
- clove garlic, minced or pressed - 1 item
- tomato ketchup - 1/2 c
- slices bacon - 4 item
- powdered ginger - 1/2 tsp
- cans pinto beans - 2 oz
How to make boston baked beans:
Slice bacon into 1/2-inch strips. Saute bacon, onion and garlic for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain beans.Combine beans, onion and remaining ingredients in a 1-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover. Bake 30 minutes longer. Serve beans with barbecued meat or chicken.
