Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sifted plain flour
- Combine all ingredients
- or more confectioners sugar - 1 c
How to make pound cake:
Sift the flour and baking powder 3 times. Combine all ingredients. Start in cold oven. Turn to 325° and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or longer. Take out when you can barely see a fingerprint. Frost with Lemon Sauce while hot.Lemon Sauce: juice and gRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
