Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 4 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 3 Tbsp
  • boiling water
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • parsley - 3 Tbsp
  • onion, diced - 1 item
  • large carrots, chopped - 2 item
  • large potatoes, cubed - 4 item
  • stalks celery and leaves, chopped - 3 item

How to make potato soup:

White Sauce:4 Tbsp. butter2 Tbsp. flour1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper4 c. milk Saute onion in butter. Add remaining ingredients. Cook until tender. Add white sauce.

White Sauce: Melt butter in medium saucepan. Add flour and seasonings. Stir and cook a few minutes; do not brown. Add milk all at once and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
