Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 item
- water - 1 item
- stick butter - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 item
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- parsley - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- to 6 large potatoes - 4 item
- small carrot, chopped fine - 1 item
How to make potato soup:
Peel and dice potatoes. Combine with next 3 ingredients. Put potato mixture in a heavy saucepan. Add salt to taste and cover with just enough water to cook the potatoes and other ingredients until tender. Pour off excess water.Add butter, canned milk and enough white milk to make soup desired thickness. Add chopped parsley and heat slowly for about 10 minutes.
Note: Very good with grilled cheese sandwich.
