Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 1 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • chopped onion - 1/4 c
  • chopped celery - 1/2 c
  • Pepperidge Farm stuffing - 8 oz
  • chopped broccoli or equivalent of fresh - 3 pkg
  • Cheddar or Velveeta cheese, sliced - 1 lb

How to make broccoli casserole:

Make broccoli according to package directions; drain well and set aside. Combine milk, 4 tablespoons butter and flour over low heat (will be thin). Melt cheese into sauce. Heat water until hot; melt 1 stick butter into it. Add stuffing. Turn off heat. Add celery and onion. Layer broccoli, stuffing and sauce in greased casserole dish. Repeat layers. Bake uncovered at 300° for 30 minutes.
