Potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1 qt
- grated carrots - 1 c
- thinly sliced celery - 1 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- large onion, diced - 1 item
- dash of white pepper - 1 item
- whole milk - 1 qt
- rich chicken stock - 1 qt
- dash of curry powder - 1 item
- medium potatoes, diced or shredded - 6 item
How to make potato soup:
Saute onion and celery in butter in 1 gallon soup kettle. When tender, add flour and mix to make smooth paste. Add chicken stock, water, carrots and potatoes. Simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender. Add milk, curry powder, pepper and salt. Serve hot with crisp crackers. Makes 8 large servings.Recipe categories: Potato, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
