Pineapple pepper chicken
Ingredients/Components
- unsweetened pineapple juice - 4 c
- sugar
- vinegar - 2 c
- water
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- cornstarch - 2/3 c
- ketchup - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 6 Tbsp
- chicken bouillon granules - 2 tsp
- ginger - 3/4 tsp
- fryers, cut up - 2 item
- vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp
- medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item
How to make pineapple pepper chicken:
In a saucepan, combine the first 10 ingredients. Stir until smooth. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until thick. Set aside. Heat oil in skillet on medium heat. Add the chicken; brown on all sides. Place in 2 greased 13 x 9 x 2 dishes. Pour reserved sauce over chicken. Bake uncovered at 350° for 45 minutes. Add pineapple and green pepper.
