  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • lasagna noodles, cooked - 1 lb
  • large onion, sliced - 1 item
  • mashed potatoes - 6 c
  • small jar Cheez Whiz - 1 item
  • sticks butter or margarine - 3 item

How to make pierogi casserole:

Mix mashed potatoes, cream cheese, salt and Cheez Whiz in bowl. Saute onion in butter until brown.

Layer noodles and potato and onion mixture alternately in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish until all ingredients are used, ending with onion mixture. Bake at 300° for 20 minutes. Uncover and broil until brown. Yield: Makes 12 servings.
