  • pkg - 1 oz
  • vanilla ice cream - 1 pt
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • whipping cream, whipped - 1/2 c
  • baked pie shell - 1 item
  • sliced peaches, sweetened or 1 No

How to make peach parfait pie:

If using fresh peaches, let stand about 15 minutes after mixing with sugar. Drain peaches, reserving syrup. Add water to syrup to make 1 cup and heat to boiling. Add gelatin and stir to dissolve. Add cold water.

Cut ice cream into 6 pieces and add to hot liquid. Stir until melted. Then chill until mixture mounds slightly. Fold in peaches. Chill, until firm, in pie shell. Serve with whipped cream.
