Peach parfait
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 3 oz
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla ice cream - 1 pt
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- hot water - 1 c
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- oats - 1 c
- sweetened sliced peaches - 2 c
How to make peach parfait:
Crust: Place rolled oats and almonds in 9-inch square, glass pan and toast at 350° for 5 minutes. Add brown sugar and melted butter, then toast again for 5 more minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. (Save 1/2 cup crumbs for top.)Filling: Mix and dissolve completely jello and water. Add softened vanilla ice cream and completely stir together. Add peaches and gently mix. Then spread over crumbs. Sprinkle with the 1/2 cup saved topping.
