Lemon pie



  • granulated sugar
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • hot water - 1 c
  • juice of 1 large lemon
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • eggs, yolks and whites separated - 3 item

How to make lemon pie:

Sift sugar, flour and salt together into a heavy pan or double boiler. Add butter and hot water, stirring well. Then add lemon juice and grated rind; cook until thickened. Add beaten egg yolks and cook 5 minutes. Cool and pour into baked pie shel
