Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- hot water - 1 c
- juice of 1 large lemon
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- eggs, yolks and whites separated - 3 item
How to make lemon pie:
Sift sugar, flour and salt together into a heavy pan or double boiler. Add butter and hot water, stirring well. Then add lemon juice and grated rind; cook until thickened. Add beaten egg yolks and cook 5 minutes. Cool and pour into baked pie shelRecipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
