Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • butter or margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
  • dark corn syrup - 1 c
  • broken pecans - 1 c
  • unbaked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item

How to make pecan pie:

In mixing bowl, beat eggs thoroughly. Stir in sugar and salt until dissolved. Stir in corn syrup, butter and vanilla; mix well. Stir in pecans. Pour mixture into an unbaked pie shell. Bake in a 400° oven for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325° and bake about 1 hour more or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
