  • salt - 1 item
  • oil - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 item
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • parsley - 1 item
  • tomato paste - 1 tsp
  • stalk celery - 1 item
  • red pepper - 1 item
  • pasta - 1 item
  • grams tomatoes - 200 item
  • kidney beans, soaked in water overnight - 1 item

How to make pasta e fagioli:

Cook beans in water (add 2 tablespoons oil, 2 cloves and 1 bay leaf to water). Saute chopped celery and minced garlic. Add tomato, 1 teaspoon puree, pepper, 1/2 cup water and salt. Boil slowly, then pour over beans (which should be well done). Cook 15 minutes. Remove and mash small amount of beans and then return to pot. Add uncooked pasta. Add oregano. Bring to boil, adding more water, if necessary.
