Oven fried chicken



  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • plain low-fat yogurt - 1 c
  • margarine, melted - 1 Tbsp
  • thyme leaves - 1 tsp
  • boneless chicken breasts - 2 lb
  • cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • whole wheat bread crumbs - 1 c

How to make oven fried chicken:

Heat oven to 400°. Combine yogurt, paprika, thyme, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix well. Coat chicken with mixture. Chicken may be covered and refrigerated overnight or until baking or bake immediately. Spray shallow roasting pan or jelly roll pan with vegetable spray. Combine bread crumbs and margarine in shallow dish, mixing well. Coat chicken in crumbs. Place in pan. Bake breasts for 25 minutes or until chicken is tender and juices run clear. Contains 5.3 grams of fat.
