Oven caramel popcorn
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- nuts optional - 1 item
- sticks butter or oleo - 2 item
- popcorn, buttered and salted - 6 qt
How to make oven caramel popcorn:
Combine sugar, syrup, oleo and salt. Heat to boiling. Boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat. Then add baking soda, stir and pour over popcorn in bowl. Spread on 2 cookie sheets. Bake at 200° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes while the mixture is baking.Recipe categories: Desserts, Lunch/snacks, Candy.
