Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- nuts optional - 1 1
- popped corn - 6 qt
- vanilla optional - 1 tsp
How to make caramel corn:
Boil butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla (this should foam). Pour over the popped corn. Bake in a large, buttered/greased, shallow baking pan(s) at 250° for 1 hour. Stir every 15Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
