  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • corn syrup - 1/2 c
  • nuts optional - 1 1
  • popped corn - 6 qt
  • vanilla optional - 1 tsp

How to make caramel corn:

Boil butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add baking soda and vanilla (this should foam). Pour over the popped corn. Bake in a large, buttered/greased, shallow baking pan(s) at 250° for 1 hour. Stir every 15
