Microwave caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- popped corn - 16 c
How to make microwave caramel corn:
Mix first 4 ingredients and bring to boil in microwave. Boil 2 minutes. Add soda and stir in real well. Put popped corn in paper bag and pour syrup mixture over it; shake well. Roll up top of bag and put in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on High. Take out and shake again. Cook another 1 1/2 minutes, then pour on cookie sheet to cool. Yum!You can also add Spanish peanuts to popcorn before adding caramel to have Cracker Jack effect.
