Oven caramel corn
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- popped corn - 15 c
How to make oven caramel corn:
Baking Temperature: 250°. Baking Time: 1 hour.Preheat oven. Put popped corn into greased large roasting pan. In a saucepan, melt butter. Add brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring until it bubbles around the edge. Cook 5 more minutes without stirring. Take pan off heat. Stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn. Stir popcorn until well blended. Bake, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.
