Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Ritz crackers - 2 c
  • mayonnaise - 1/4 c
  • Cheddar cheese, grated - 2 c
  • can water chestnuts, drained - 1 item
  • medium Vidalia onions, sliced - 6 item
  • can cream of chicken - 1 item
  • butter oleo - 1/4 c

How to make onion casserole:

Put in greased casserole dish. Arrange onions. Mix together other ingredients and pour over onions. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes. Top with cracker crumbs. Dot with mayonnaise and serve hot.
