Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- chocolate chips - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- peanut butter - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- quick oats - 1 c
- softened margarine - 1/2 c
- coconut optional - 1/2 c
- nuts or sunflower seeds - 1/2 c
How to make monkey bars:
Combine flour, sugar, margarine, salt, soda, vanilla and egg. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Add oats, peanut butter and coconut. Spread dough in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan with hands. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake 15 to 20 minutes in preheated 375° oven or until edges are golden and center stays soft.
