Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 Tbsp
- soda - 1 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- corn meal
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- jalapeno peppers, chopped - 4 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix corn meal, buttermilk, salt, flour, soda, eggs, corn and cooking oil together. Pour half of the mixture into a greased pan. Pour cheese, onion and peppers in the middle. Pour other ingredients over. Make like ordinary corn bread (not too thick). BRecipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
