- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- oil - 1/4 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 3/4 c
- cornmeal - 1 c
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- peppers - 1 item
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- chopped or grated cheese - 1 c
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix eggs and oil. Combine buttermilk and soda. Add this to eggs and oil. Stir in flour, cornmeal and salt. Add corn, onion, peppers and cheese. Bake in a 400° oven until done.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
