  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
  • chopped onion - 1/3 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 2 Tbsp
  • can cream-style corn - 1 3/4
  • yellow corn meal - 1 c

How to make mexican corn bread:

In mixing bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients; add the dry ingredients and stir only until moistened. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan or 10-inch skillet. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown.
