Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 1/3 c
- chopped onion - 1/3 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- can cream-style corn - 1 3/4
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
How to make mexican corn bread:
In mixing bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Combine remaining ingredients; add the dry ingredients and stir only until moistened. Pour into greased 9-inch square pan or 10-inch skillet. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until brown.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
