Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- carton sour cream - 1 item
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- chopped pimento - 1/2 c
- chopped bell pepper - 2 Tbsp
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- crushed red pepper to taste - 1 item
- mild sausage - 1 lb
- plain or self-rising meal
How to make mexican corn bread:
Brown and drain sausage. Mix all ingredients together, except cheese. Pour half of mixture into greased pan. Sprinkle half of cheese. Pour remaining mixture. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
