Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- Crisco oil - 2/3 c
- chopped onion - 1 item
- chopped bell pepper - 1 item
- yellow corn meal
- sharp cheese, grated - 1 c
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- or 3 jalapeno peppers, minced - 2 item
- can pimento, minced - 1/2 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Pour half mixture in greased baking dish; cover with 1/2 cup grated cheese. Pour remaining mixture. Top with the other 1/2 cup of grated cheese. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
