Mexican cornbread
Ingredients/Components
- cornmeal
- cream-style corn - 1 c
- sour cream - 1 c
- eggs - 3 item
- jalapeno peppers, chopped - 2 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1 c
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
How to make mexican cornbread:
Mix all ingredients well. Bake in an iron skillet or 9 1/2 x 12-inch baking dish at 350° for 45 minutes. If you use a glass dish, lower oven to 325°. I use a tablespoon or so of pimento to add color.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
