Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • Wesson oil - 1/2 c
  • medium onion, sliced thin in rings - 1 item
  • small green pepper, sliced in rings - 1 item
  • fresh carrots, sliced thin - 2 lb

How to make marinated carrots:

Dice and boil carrots in salt water until tender. Drain and cool. Alternate or mix together layers of carrots, pepper rings and onion rings in container. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables. Cover and refrigerate. Will keep a week under refrigeration and is better if make several days ahead and allowed to marinate before serving.

Note: Can be halved.
