Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • cooking oil - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • medium onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
  • beef liver - 1 lb

How to make liver and onions:

Cut away tubes and outer membrane from liver. Wash liver in cold water; dry. Coat with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Heat cooking oil in skillet; saute onions until transparent. Set onions aside and brown liver on both sides (5 minutes). Place onions in pan with water. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.
