Liver and onions
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- medium onions, thinly sliced - 3 item
- beef liver - 1 lb
How to make liver and onions:
Cut away tubes and outer membrane from liver. Wash liver in cold water; dry. Coat with mixture of flour, salt and pepper. Heat cooking oil in skillet; saute onions until transparent. Set onions aside and brown liver on both sides (5 minutes). Place onions in pan with water. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Beef, Beef organ meats, Beef liver.
