Beef with sour cream
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 3/4 c
- hot cooked rice - 3 4
- can sliced mushrooms with liquid - 1 oz
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- beef broth - 1 c
- lean round steak - 1 lb
- flour, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder - 1/4 c
How to make beef with sour cream:
Remove bone and fat from steak. Cut meat into thin, narrow strips. Dredge in flour; using large skillet, quickly brown meat on all sides in hot oil. Add onions, broth, thyme and liquid from mushrooms. Cover and cook 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in sour cream. Heat through; do not boil. Serve over hot rice.Recipe categories: Low sodium, Meat, Beef.
