- sugar - 1 c
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- eggs - 2 item
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- lemon extract - 2 Tbsp
- baking powder
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour
- yellow food coloring - 1 item
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
How to make lemon bread:
Topping:1/2 c. sugar3 Tbsp. lemon juice Mix all ingredients (except topping) and pour into a greased and floured bread pan. Bake at 325° for 45 to 50 minutes. Makes 1 loaf.Topping: Mix sugar and lemon juice. Heat until sugar dissolves. Pour this mixture over baked bread and bake 5 to 8 minutes more.
