Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 lb
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- Italian seasoning - 2 tsp
- garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can crushed tomatoes - 1 oz
- celery stalks, chopped - 2 item
- sliced fresh or canned mushrooms - 1 c
How to make lasagna soup:
In a skillet, brown beef, onion, green pepper, celery and mushrooms until the beef is no longer pink. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, tomatoes and tomato sauce (mixture should be thick); simmer.Meanwhile, break each noodle into 4 pieces; cook in a Dutch oven according to package directions. When noodles are tender, drain off about half the water. Stir in meat sauce; heat through.
