Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 lb
  • sliced fresh mushrooms - 1 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • Italian seasoning - 2 tsp
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • garlic cloves, minced - 2 item
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can crushed tomatoes - 1 oz
  • celery ribs, chopped - 2 item

How to make lasagna soup:

In a skillet, brown beef, onion, green pepper, celery and mushrooms until the beef is no longer pink. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, tomatoes and tomato sauce (mixture should be thick). Simmer.

Meanwhile, break each noodle into 4 pieces. Cook in a Dutch oven according to package directions. When noodles are tender, drain off half of water. Stir in meat sauce and heat through. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
