Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- can chicken broth - 1 3/4
- cloves garlic, crushed - 2 item
- shrimp, shelled and deveined - 12 oz
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- dried thyme leaves - 1/2 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes, undrained and coarsely chopped - 1 1/2
- cubed, cooked ham or Spam
How to make jambalaya:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook garlic in margarine for 1 to 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, except shrimp. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover. Simmer 25 minutes. Add shrimp. Cook, covered, for 5 to 10 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, Cajun.
