Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt
- water - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make enchiladas:
Brown meat; drain. Add tomatoes, paste, water, onion and seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes. Fry tortillas in hot oil until softened; drain. Place rounded tablespoonful of meat sauce and cheese on each tortilla. Roll up tightly. Place seam side down in an 11 3/4 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish. Top with remaining sauce and cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375° for 25 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Poultry, Meat, High calcium.
