Ingredients/Components

  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • ground red pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • dried onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • thyme - 1/4 tsp
  • uncooked long grain rice - 1 c
  • beef bouillon granules - 2 tsp
  • shredded green onion - 1/2 tsp
  • green pepper flakes - 1 Tbsp

How to make jambalaya mix:

Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container in cool place. Yields 1 1/4 cups dry mix.

To Prepare: Combine mix with 2 cups water and 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce in Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices and 1 cup chopped cooked ham. Cook until thoroughly heated. Yields 6 servings.
