Jambalaya mix
Ingredients/Components
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- ground red pepper - 1/4 tsp
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- dried onion flakes - 1 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- uncooked long grain rice - 1 c
- beef bouillon granules - 2 tsp
- shredded green onion - 1/2 tsp
- green pepper flakes - 1 Tbsp
How to make jambalaya mix:
Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container in cool place. Yields 1 1/4 cups dry mix.To Prepare: Combine mix with 2 cups water and 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce in Dutch oven. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices and 1 cup chopped cooked ham. Cook until thoroughly heated. Yields 6 servings.
