Jambalaya
Ingredients/Components
- bay leaf - 1 item
- clove garlic - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 lb
- thyme - 2 tsp
- stalks chopped celery - 3 item
- stock or water - 6 c
- chaurice - 1 lb
- andouille - 1 lb
- diced tasso - 1/4 c
- raw rice long grain - 3 c
How to make jambalaya:
Saute the fresh sausage until browned. Add smoked meats, celery, onion and bell pepper. Saute until translucent. Add rice and saute until rice turns milky white. Add remainder of ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer. Cook without stirring for 25 minutes. Taste check for seasoning and toss in green onions.
