Hot pepper jelly
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cider vinegar
- dried crushed red pepper - 3 Tbsp
- large green peppers cut into small pieces, leave some seeds - 3 item
How to make hot pepper jelly:
Combine all ingredients in large kettle. Bring to full boil. Strain in cheesecloth into large bowl. Add 1 bottle of Certo. Return to kettle and bring to full boil. Cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add 3 or 4 drops green or red food coloring. Pour into small jelly glasses (jelly tends to sugar after opening) and pour melted paraffin on top.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Vegetables, Jellies.
