Homemade white bread
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- melted butter - 1/4 c
- honey - 2 Tbsp
- active dry yeast - 2 pkg
- warm milk - 2 c
- unbleached all-purpose flour - 6 7
How to make homemade white bread:
Combine yeast, honey and 1/2 cup of milk together until yeast is dissolved. Place rest of milk, butter and salt in bowl. Add yeast mixture to bowl and add flour. Knead dough for 8 to 10 minutes. Place kneaded dough in buttered bowl and let rise until doubled in bulk. Punch dough down and knead 5 minutes. Divide dough in half and shape into loaves. Place dough in 2 buttered loaf pans and let rise until doubled in bulk. Slash loaves with a razor and brush with water.
