Hearty bacon potato chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- sour cream - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- can whole kernel corn - 8 oz
- slices bacon - 8 item
- red potatoes - 2 c
How to make hearty bacon potato chowder:
Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add raw potatoes, cubed onions. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Add sour cream, milk, cream of chicken soup, corn (that is drained), pepper and thyme. Continue heating until heated through for 10 to 12 minutes.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Main dish, Chowders.
