Rhubarb nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 2/3 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- diced rhubarb
- sour milk - 1 c
How to make rhubarb nut bread:
Beat together brown sugar, oil and eggs. Mix together soda, vanilla and sour milk. Add to first mixture. Add flour, mixing well, then add rhubarb and finally nuts. Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch loaf pans. Sprinkle top with mixture of 1 tablespoon butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Bake 1 hour at 325°.Recipe categories: Egg, Breads, Lunch/snacks.
