Baked fish au gratin
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped parsley - 1/2 c
- thyme - 3/4 tsp
- medium onions, chopped - 2 item
- whitefish fillets - 2 lb
- thin slices Cheddar cheese - 8 item
How to make baked fish au gratin:
Place half of the fillets in greased baking dish and cover with 4 slices of cheese. Sprinkle with thyme and parsley. Saute onions and add. In top of double boiler, melt butter; stir in flour. Add salt and pepper. Cook until the mixture thickens. Pour over fish and bake at 400° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Fish, Seafood.
