- pkg - 1 oz
- carton sour cream - 1 oz
- shredded Cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper - 1 tsp
- crushed corn flakes - 2 c
- small onion, chopped - 1/2 item
- melted butter or margarine - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup undiluted - 1 3/4
How to make hash brown casserole:
Place thawed potatoes in a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Mix 1/2 cup butter, soup, cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and onion. Pour over potatoes in casserole dish. Mix. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes. Top with corn flakes and drizzle with butter; bake until golden brown (10 to 15 minutes).Recipe categories: Breakfast, Side dish, Casseroles.
