Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- egg yolks - 2 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- flaked coconut - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- cake flour - 1/2 c
- egg whites, beaten - 2 item
- lemon peel, grated - 1 tsp
- red raspberry jelly
How to make coffee cake:
Topping:2/3 c. red raspberry jelly1 c. flaked coconut1 Tbsp. flour1/2 c. chopped nuts Cream together margarine and sugar. Add egg yolks and blend. Add sour cream, vanilla, lemon juice and lemon peel; mix. Combine together flour, soda and baking powder. Add to other ingredients. Fold in egg whites. Bake at 350° until center springs back to touch. Spread with topping ingredients. Return to oven under broiler for a few minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Breakfast, Coffee cakes.
