Ingredients/Components
- cooked, diced beets - 3 c
- sugar scant - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- water - 1/4 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
How to make harvard beets:
Mix the sugar, salt and cornstarch; add the vinegar and water. Stir until smooth. Cook for 5 minutes. Add beets to hot sauce and let stand 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
