Ingredients/Components

  • cooked, diced beets - 3 c
  • sugar scant - 1/2 c
  • cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 1/4 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp

How to make harvard beets:

Mix the sugar, salt and cornstarch; add the vinegar and water. Stir until smooth. Cook for 5 minutes. Add beets to hot sauce and let stand 30 minutes. Just before serving, bring to a boil and add butter.
