Ingredients/Components
- cup scalded milk - 1 item
- cup sugar - 1/4 item
- tablespoons shortening - 6 item
- package yeast - 1 item
- tablespoons warm water - 2 item
- egg - 1 item
- cups flour - 4 item
How to make granny's rolls:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Cool to lukewarm. Combine milk, sugar and shortening. Add diluted yeast, eggs and 1/2 flour. Mix well. Add remainder of flour slowly stirring to make a soft dough. Refrigerate covered overnight. Punch down. Make into rolls. Let rise for 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes until brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Healthy, Yeast breads.
